A TENANT’S home was repossessed by social housing group Incommunities following a conviction for cannabis production at his flat.
Wayne Holdsworth, 41, was sentenced by Bradford and Keighley magistrates on April 23 this year to six months imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, for production of cannabis. The court was told the cannabis had an estimated value of £2,700.
Holdsworth was also handed a two-month curfew and ordered to pay costs.
Following the successful court action, Incommunities secured possession of Holdsworth’s home in Vivien Avenue, Allerton, Bradford.
Sergeant Alex Artis, of the Bradford West Area Neighbourhood Team, said: “West Yorkshire Police is committed to working with its partners to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour, and this is an excellent example of that.”
