YOUNG people in a Bradford community have been involved in planning their own Halloween event and are now appealing to the public to help make it a success by turning up to join in the fun.

The Fright Night event at Highcroft Youth Centre has been planned in conjunction with staff at Bradford Youth Service and will run at the Snowden Road premises from 6.30 to 9.30pm on Thursday, October 30.

Young people have been heavily involved in arranging the event, which will include pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, as well as scary movies, bouncy castles, a bucking rodeo bull, DJ and dance floor. Refreshments will be available, with candy floss and toffee apples for sale at a small charge, though entrance to the events is free.

Visitors are encouraged to wear fancy dress to keep in the spirit of the event.
