AN ORGANISATION which launched a meals service for those who struggle to get the food they need has celebrated its success with an Eid party.

The Muslim Women's Council launched its Curry Circle in December last year, with the objective of providing meals for the homeless and those who struggle financially.

It has been a great success, providing more than 2,000 meals since it was launched and the achievement was marked with a celebration attended by more than 250 people.

They included those who use the service on a normal basis, who were served alongside faith representatives, volunteers and business owners.

Religious groups represented included the Hindu, Muslim, Baha'i Sikh, Jewish and Christian communities.

The food was sponsored by MyLahore and Aziz Catering and a Palestinian flag was on display for people to express their thoughts.

Curry Circle provides a two course hot meal, operating each Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Carlisle Business Centre at 60 Carlisle Road.
