A £70,000 facelift of the outside of Skipton Town Hall (pictured) is due to get under way by the end of the month.
The eight-week renovation will see the majority of windows replaced and repainted in time for the Grand Depart of the Tour de France.
Work is due to start on Wednesday, April 30, and will mean scaffolding going up on the grade two listed building.
Jerry Croft will be closed for a week to vehicles, although pedestrians will still have access.
The building, including the Tourist Information Centre and museum and gallery, will remain open, although some areas may be closed off.
Work on the windows is part of the major refurbishment of hall, which also includes work costing £220,000 to install a lift and disabled access, and a new £125,000 heating system.
