A man was today fined after he was found in possession of extreme images of people having sex with animals, including a chicken.

Saeedurrahman Abdulqayyum, 31, had been given a suspended prison sentence and a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) in 2009 for offences of making or possessing indecent images of children.

Giles Bridge, prosecuting, told Bradford Crown Court today that police went to Abdulqayyum’s home, in Barmby Road, Undercliffe, Bradford, in December last year, to monitor his SOPO.

When his iphone was examined it was found to have three extreme pornographic images on it. They showed a man having sex with a chicken and women having sex with a horse and a dog.

The images had been sent to his phone by a contact called ‘Shaimy’.

He told police he sent and received a lot of texts from friends and said: “Five seconds of a stupid laugh can cost you your dignity.”

His barrister, Yunus Valli, said his client was ashamed and had co-operated with police.

Abdulqayyum pleaded guilty to three charges of possessing extreme pornographic images.

He was fined £750, with £250 costs and ordered to pay at £20 per week, with 21 days’ imprisonment in default.
