Live Aid – with a twist – will rock Bradford and raise money for charity.
Acts will perform hits played at the original Live Aid concerts in London and Philadelphia on July 13, 1985.
But Live Aid Unplugged organiser John Murphy said: “Artists must choose songs from the catalogue of performers who played either Live Aid show but who have also played in Bradford. So far I can tie 19 artists to this, so there’s plenty of song choice.”
The gig, also in memory of Mr Murphy’s father-in-law Daniel Marlow who died last month, will raise funds for the Joshua Project.
The charity, based in Cross Lane, Great Horton, encourages young people to keep active and be good citizens.
The concert is at the charity’s base on Saturday, August 3, from 7pm. Any acts wishing to perform can contact Rich Jones at rich.jones@joshuaproject.org.uk.
