Jamie Oliver courses to be launched in Keighley

11:40am Friday 12th April 2013

Ministry of Food cooking courses are to be served up in Keighley as part of Jamie Oliver’s national healthy eating campaign.

The sessions, at Keighley Healthy Living (KHL) in Scott Street, will teach people the basics of creating nutritious meals on a budget.

The eight-week courses begin on April 23, from 10am to 11.30am and 12.30pm to 2pm.

KHL project development manager, Melanie Hey, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for us and for Keighley.

“The Jamie Oliver courses teach people how to cook quick, simple, healthy and cost-effective meals and then pass on their skills to others.

“It will also give them the opportunity to try new recipes, learn new techniques and meet new people.”

The introductory course costs £25. All ingredients will be provided, and classes will take place in KHL’s fully-equipped kitchen.

The project is being run in partnership with Bradford’s Ministry of Food.

Places are limited. Call 01535 677177 for further information or to book.
