A 39-year-old man who repeatedly raped a nine-year-old girl is behind bars awaiting a long prison sentence.
Andrew Quantrill, of Fenwick Drive, Woodside, Bradford, pleaded guilty to four charges of raping the child between August last year and January 19 when he appeared at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.
His not guilty pleas to two further allegations of rape were accepted by the Crown.
Quantrill’s solicitor Ian Hudson said: “A substantial custodial sentence is inevitable.”
He was remanded back into custody while a probation service report is prepared.
He will be sentenced on April 2.
Judge Colin Burn told Quantrill: “You must be aware that a substantial sentence is absolutely inevitable in this case and you must be prepared for that when you return.”
