Investigations into blaze at derelict building

Firefighters in breathing equipment tackled a five-hour blaze at a disused plastics factory last night.
The derelict former Monoplas factory, near Hipperholme, still contained some discarded plastic material and five appliances from Brighouse, Ellland, Odsal and Illingworth attended the incident.
The fire in the remote old one-storey building off Badger Lane was put out at 11.45pm.
Investigations into the cause of the blaze are continuing.
