Man trapped in car after collision in Idle

A man was trapped in his car after it collided with a van in Idle today.
The crash, which happened at about 2.20pm, was on Highfield Road at its junction with All Alone Road.
It involved a Renault Clio and a Renault van. Firefighters from Idle station freed the driver of the Clio.
An ambulance service spokesman said both drivers suffered minor injuries and did not need hospital treatment.
