A body of a man has been found at a house in Allerton. Firefighters from Fairweather Green station made the discovery at a property on Crediton Avenue at 8.15 tonight.

There is no indication yet as to how the man died.

Watch commander Paul Austin said fire crews were called to reports of a fire alarm.

He said: “There was no fire alarm when we got there and no fire. We investigated and came across the male casualty.”

Police were unable to give any information on the incident.
