A home was ripped apart and dozens of residents evacuated after an explosion at a property in Keighley.

A 61-year-old woman was rushed to hospital and ten homes evacuated after a toaster sparked a major gas blast at a house in Brook Row, Oakworth, on Saturday night.

One of the residents caught up in the drama said it was like a bomb going off and described feeling an earth temro that shook homes on the quiet street.

It is believed a spark from a toaster ignited gas that had leaked into a kitchen extension through a corroded pipe.
