Leading musicians and artists – including a contingent from Cavan in Ireland – will be converging on Haworth for the Haworth Arts and Music Festival from Thursday.
In August, Worth Valley singers Tim Moon and Maggie Boyle, along with Paul Jermyn, were invited to perform at the All Ireland Fleadh in Cavan, which attracted 100,000 visitors.
In return, Cavan is sending over some top musicians, led by Martin Donohue, to add an Irish flavour to the festival.
They will be at the Old School Rooms on Friday night, in concert, and featuring in an Irish session at the Fleece on Sunday evening.
Visual arts will play a big part with an exhibition of local work by Sarah Hutton, Phil Shepherd and Judy Sale at the Old School Rooms near the Bronte Parsonage.
The festival runs alongside the Fair Intents festival in Bronte Meadows, at the School Rooms, where a series of short films will be shown.
A murder mystery drama will be performed on board one of the Keighley & Worth Valley trains on Saturday..
Mr Moon will also be running an open song-writing workshop from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday at the School Rooms before being the support act for the evening concert at the same venue.
All events are free except for the evening concerts which are £5 with tickets available from Haworth Tourist information or on the door. All concerts start at 8pm.
