A busy road in the district remains closed following a crash.
Police have tweeted that Halifax Road, in Ingrow, near Keighley, has had to be shut this afternoon.
Police tweeted: "Emergency services are in attendance, please avoid the area."
A police spokesman said: “The incident happened in Halifax Road at the junction with Apple Street.
“Police were called at 1.55pm after reports of a male cyclist being involved in a collision with a white Vauxhall Corsa.
"The cyclist has been taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary in a serious condition.
“Emergency services remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.”
One onlooker said the road was blocked off by police vans close to Ingrow railway station, and the air ambulance had also been called to the incident.
