A MAN has been given a suspended jail sentence for possessing cocaine with intent to supply.
Jack Bilney, 24, of Clough Fold, Keighley, appeared before Bradford Crown Court yesterday.
In mitigation, Peter Hampton, said his client was a "talented builder" with a "bright future", and had turned his life around since the offence in Keighley last December and had kept off drugs.
Mr Hampton told the court that he has been given more responsibility in his job in recent months, with good reports from customers. He added that Bilney comes from a good family and was mortified his name would appear in relation to the matter.
Sentencing Bilney, Judge Colin Burn described the offence as "serious", but said he had taken efforts to get away from his class A habit.
Bilney was handed a two-year sentence, suspended for two years, and was made the subject of a six-month curfew requirement. He must also pay £250 in costs.
