AN application to build five three-bedroom houses on land once occupied by the Utley Cemetery mortuary is being considered by Bradford Council planners.
The proposals have been submitted for currently vacant land to the west of the cemetery, between Skipton Road and Birchwood Drive.
The development would also include provision for 15 car parking spaces.
A pair of derelict buildings on this land were approved for demolition by Bradford Council in spring of 2014, despite objections. This earlier application had also asked to replace those disused properties with three new homes.
The latest proposals for five houses says that if approved, the homes would be built in two blocks, with new shrubs planted along the northern boundary of the site.
