Child seriously injured in car accident
A YOUNG child was taken to hospital last night following an accident in Malsis Road, Keighley.
The boy, believed to be aged about seven, received a serious leg injury and a serious facial injury after being in collision with a car.
Police and paramedics headed to the scene of the incident at 6.16pm in the terraced street, which runs alongside Lund Park.
The child was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment. The injuries were not life-threatening.
Police said the Toyota Yaris involved in the accident remained at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the accident should contact the police’s Western Area Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Team on the non-emergency number of 101.
