People are being invited to a Dragons Den-style event where they can decide which local cause deserves charity cash.

Keighley Soup brings together diners at Central Hall, who pay £5 five each in return for a bowl of soup, a bread roll and a vote.

The diners hear pitches from four individuals, community groups or social enterprises about new projects aimed at improving the lives of others.

The diners then vote for their favourite idea, and the winning project receives all the proceeds from the night.

Keighley Soup will be on September 13 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Central Hall in Alice Street.

The first Keighley Soup last year attracted 31 people and a prize fund of £155, which was given to WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) keighleynewsso that people with mental health issues could help others in their position.

Central Hall is looking for people to put forward ideas, attend the event, or donate cash to increase the prize fund.
