A BRADFORD company is celebrating its 50th anniversary – and raising money for Manorlands at the same time.
Thirteen staff members at Refreshment Systems are tackling a 50-mile sponsored walk, from Burnley to Apperley Bridge.
The team will take a 'pit stop' at the halfway point in Skipton during the two-day challenge, at the end of this month.
An online fundraising page has been set-up, at justgiving.com/fundraising/refreshmentsystemscharitywalk, with a £2,000 target.
All proceeds will go to the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
Manorlands community fundraiser, Harriet Wood, said: "This is a fantastic way to celebrate a great milestone and the fact they are giving something back to the community is wonderful.
"The challenge won't be easy, but I think that's what makes it worth doing.
"From everyone at Manorlands, I want to say a very big thank-you to the company for its help and commitment to our cause – it means a great deal to so many people in our care."
Refreshment Systems, based in Bolling Road, covers all aspects of the beverages industry – from vending machines to its own brand of ingredients.
