HELP will be at hand next week for Keighley shoppers seeking to shed weight.

Experts from ABL Health will be in the town’s Airedale Shopping Centre from Monday until the following Sunday, offering advice.

There will also be a chance for people to be weighed and have their BMI and blood pressure readings checked.

ABL Health has been commissioned by Bradford Council and Public Health to deliver a free family and adult weight management service.

Visitors to the information stand will be able to enrol on a wide range of sessions.

Peter Clarke, ABL health programme lead, said: “Rising levels of obesity and unhealthy living are a major concern to health professionals across the district and we’re constantly looking at new ways to combat this.

“We appreciate that due to work and other commitments, many people may not get the chance to access professional advice.

“Shoppers can engage with us face to face and seek any help and support they require.”

The stand will be open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4.30pm on the Sunday.
