A FIRE has badly damaged the kitchen of a converted barn at Cononley.
Firefighters from Keighley, Skipton and Harrogate were called out to tackle the blaze at the two-storey property in Stockshott Lane after the alarm was raised at about 10.15am today
A special high-pressure ventilation fan was used to help clear smoke from the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but there are no suspicious circumstances.
Michael Rhodes, watch commander at Keighley Fire Station, said: "The kitchen was well alight when crews arrived and six breathing apparatus wearers, using two hose reels, tackled it.
"We had the fire under control quite quickly and managed to stop it spreading."
