A YOUNGSTER who is following in the tyre tracks of her motorbike-mad mum has won a national competition.

A photo of six-year-old Neve Longworth riding her Oset machine took top spot in the Best Little Biker contest.

It was among hundreds of entries in the venture, organised by motorcycle insurance broker Carole Nash.

Now Neve, of Cononley, has been presented with a toy quad bike valued at £150.

"I've always had a huge passion for motorbikes and it looks like it's rubbing off on Neve!" said mum Alyssa, who entered the photo into the competition.

"I can't believe Neve's entry finished in first place.

"She is over the moon with her toy bike and we'd like to say a massive thanks to Carole Nash for the prize."

Judging was headed by double world superbike champion, Jonathan Rea.

Rebecca Donohue, head of marketing at Carole Nash, said: "We'd like to thank everyone who submitted all their amazing photos. It was really difficult to pick the favourite.

"We loved Neve's entry. It's a very cute photo and it's lovely to see that she is following in her mother's footsteps."
