A POLICE investigation has been launched today following the discovery of the body of a woman in a garden in the district.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police confirmed officers were alerted at 7.40am today.
He said the body was found in a garden of a property in Bracken Bank Grove, Keighley.
He added: "This is not being treated as suspicious at the moment, it's being treated as unexplained.
"There will be a postmortem carried out tomorrow morning."
The road has been cordoned off and a white tent put up around the area to allow forensics to examine the scene.
Two Keighley town councillors used social media to inform the public of the incident.
Cllr John Kirkby said: "From what some residents are saying, it was a female in her late 20s that was found dead, but police have not confirmed this."
