A MOTORIST was today airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after a crash in Silsden.
The 59-year-old man, who was was driving a Vauxhall van, crashed into a barrier on the A6034 Keighley Road shortly after 8.30am.
He was taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.
No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who saw the van immediately before the incident, to get in touch.
They have been urged to contact the West Yorkshire Police Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Unit on 101.
