TWO people were arrested after an injured baby was admitted to Airedale General Hospital.
Staff at the Steeton hospital alerted police on Saturday evening when concerns were raised for the child, who had been brought in with suspected meningitis.
A preliminary examination of the baby indicated he had received injuries which were not believed to be accidental.
The child remains in hospital, where his condition is described as poorly but stable.
A 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were arrested from an address in Silsden, on suspicion of assault and neglect.
Both were later released on bail pending further investigations.
Inquiries are ongoing.
