KEIGHLEY Bus Museum Trust has hosted its first event of the year.

An open day was staged on Sunday, celebrating 60 years since the introduction of the Leyland Atlantean double-decker.

The museum's collection of more than 100 vehicles was joined by over 15 visiting buses from across the country.

A free bus service operated around the town centre.

"We also had 'mystery tours' which were full to capacity – as were many of the other services operating throughout the day," said trust chairman, Iain Bonner.

In the museum, at Riverside Depot, Dalton Lane, visitors could view the trust's vehicles and collectors' stalls. There were also slide shows.

The trust's next event is at Robert's Park, Saltaire, on July 3.
