A COMMUNITY clean-up has been hailed as a huge success.
Eastwood Primary School, Keighley area co-ordinator's office and volunteers from several organisations were involved in the initiative, in Lawkholme and Showfield.
And as part of the scheme, recycling bins have been installed in a pathway alongside the school.
"The day went really well," said Zaibun Khan, a parental involvement worker at Eastwood Primary.
"Despite cold weather, there was a good turnout."
The recycling bins have been provided as part of a Bradford Council rewards scheme.
For each tonne of waste collected, a £60 grant will be set aside for small community projects, to be decided by Keighley Area Committee.
The money could be used to fund projects such as playground equipment, day trips for children or the elderly or park benches.
