POLICE officers have raided a cannabis farm in Highfield, Keighley.

Officers from the town's neighbourhood policing team were called to an address in Devonshire Street on Tuesday afternoon.

They discovered more than 100 mature cannabis plants, and described the find as having a "significant street value."

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the plants covered three floors of the premises.

He added that officers seized costly equipment which had been used to cultivate the plants. "These were also taken for destruction and the address has now been boarded up," he said.

"Forensic work and enquiries to trace the persons involved are ongoing."

Officers have appealed for anyone with information on this cannabis farm to get in touch with them.

The police spokesman said people in Keighley district who suspect a premises is being used to grow cannabis should report this to police via the 101 non-emergency number or call 0800 555 111 to contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
