COMPANY staff burning rubbish in a yard accidentally set fire to their building's fibreglass windows which then spread to the roof.
Fire crews from Keighley and Bingley fire stations were called around noon yesterday to a commercial premises on Parkwood Street in the town.
It took around 20 minutes to bring the fire under control. The blaze left a large hole in the one-storey building's roof. Fire crews using breathing apparatus tackled the fire with a hose reel.
A fire service spokesman said a stray spark may have caused the rubbish fire - which was very close to the building - to spread The company is believed to make metal castings.
