FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze on the ground floor of a derelict Ingrow mill.
Crews from Keighley and Bingley were called out at 8.40pm last night to deal with the burning wooden pallets.
It took about 20 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
Firefighters – two wearing breathing apparatus – used a hose reel to tackle the flames, which affected about a quarter of the ground floor.
A special ventilation fan was brought in to help clear smoke from the two-storey building, in Staveley Road.
The cause of the blaze is unknown but the building, which has been empty for some time, has been targeted by youngsters in the past.
