A POP-UP charity shop which was hugely successful in Haworth last year is set to return next week.

The temporary shop, which will raise cash for Christian Aid, will once again be in Sonia’s Smile, in Main Street. The initiative is being organised by Churches Together in Haworth and Cross Roads.

Reverend Peter Mayo-Smith (pictured), priest-in-charge at Haworth Parish Church, said the shop would be open from Tuesday, May 12, until Sunday, May 17, inclusive.

This means it will run during the Haworth 1940s Weekend, which always brings thousands of visitors to the village.

Mr Mayo-Smith said: “The shop was an outstanding success last year and we’d like to try to repeat that.

“Rita Verity, of Sonia’s Smile, is giving up part of her premises again to enable us to run the shop. It’s extremely generous of her to do this.”

The pop-up shop will sell clothes, bric-a-brac and a variety of other donated goods.

This is the second year the initiative has been run in Haworth.
