A 75-YEAR-OLD man has been warned to expect a prison sentence for sexually abusing a boy aged 14.
Matthew Wiles, of Central Avenue, Bracken Bank, Keighley, pleaded guilty at Bradford Crown Court yesterday to five offences of sexual activity with a child, between November 1 last year and February 9. He was remanded back into custody until March 20 for the preparation of a probation report.
Wiles’ solicitor advocate, Ash Mahmood, made no application for bail.
The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, ordered Wiles to sign on the sex offenders’ register.
He told him: “A man of your age, and a boy of his age, probably means that this is a prison sentence.”
His case was adjourned until Friday, March 20.
