A SCHOOL boy’s poster design will be used to encourage dog owners to clean up after their pet. Alistair Gomersall, of St Joseph’s Primary School in Bingley, won a competition run by a local group as part of its campaign to clear the town of dog mess.

Julie Ramsden, of Bingley Green Dog Walkers which ran the poster contest, said: “We were very impressed with the care and thought put into the fantastic posters by so many of St Joseph’s schoolchildren.

“Thank you to all in school for the posters and thank you to the wider community of Bingley, Gilstead and Eldwick for your continued support in our campaign. We feel that together we are really making a difference.”
