A GROUP of men who were members of a boys’ club in Ingrow in the 1950s have got together again for the first time in more than 50 years.

The seven men were part of the boys’ club which was once based at Wesley Place Methodist Church, Ingrow.

The former club members were re-united at an event in Briar Court Huddersfield.

Ilkley resident David Feather, who is one of the group, said: “The reunion included former Wesley Place members, spouses and friends who gathered for a morning coffee followed later by a buffet lunch and the inevitable reminiscing.

“It was a memorable day for all of us who were there. Four of us still live in Yorkshire, and the others in Lancashire, Lincolnshire and the West Midlands. "

“Needless to say we are all still model and full size railway enthusiasts!”

The other ex-members who attended the reunion were: Allan Smith, Michael Nolan, Michael Dickinson, Graham Robinson, David Hodgson and Ian Ramsay.
