VOLUNTEERS answered the call to help clean up one of Keighley’s public open spaces.
They responded to an appeal broadcast by the newly-formed Friends of Burgess Field group.
The three-hour clean-up session took place at Burgess Field, in Highfield, last Saturday. About 25 youngsters and adults took part.
Keighley town councillor Amjid Ahmed, one of the friends groups founders, said: “It went very well, quite a lot of people turned up to help bag up the rubbish. We got a lot of work done in three hours.”
