ORGANISERS of the Haworth Steampunk Weekend are making their final preparations for this year’s event which will take place from November 21 to 23.

The weekend is returning for its second year after a successful inaugural event last November. It aims to raise funds for Manorlands Hospice from its proceeds. The weekend begins with a burlesque night on the Friday and a steampunk gig night follows on the Saturday evening. Both events take place at Parkside Social Club and tickets for either night can be bought from Firths Boutique, in Main Street. There will be plenty going on during the daytime too, with many steampunk enthusiasts descending on Haworth for the weekend, wearing traditional steampunk attire.

The occasion will feature music and entertainment, a steampunk fashion show, steam trains, stalls at Haworth Community Centre and West Lane Methodist Chapel and much more. The Haworth Fundraising Group for Manorlands Hospice will be supporting the event by holding a street collection in Main Street and will also serve refreshments over the weekend at Haworth Community Centre.
