REGULARS at a Cullingworth pub took part in an ice bucket challenge with a big difference.
Instead of a standard bucket they used the shovel of a digger to drop the water.
Thirteen customers of the George Hotel stood under the ‘bucket’ and were drenched with ice-cold water.
They have so far raised £380 for the Sue Ryder Manorlands hospice, at Oxenhope, near Keighley.
10 OF BRADFORD'S COOLEST ICE BUCKET CHALLENGES
Chris Thompson and Joanne Storton, who own the George, have pledged to make the proceeds up to £500.
The ice-bucket challenge has taken the world by storm through social media.
People are nominated for a drenching by Facebook friends, then after filming their experience and raising money for their chosen charity they can nominate more people.
Mr Thompson said the George was nominated by the Fleece in Harden. He said: “We have now nominated Cullingworth Conservative Club and Leadbeaters at Cross Roads, our butcher.”
“Myself and Jo made a personal nomination to some of our friends down south.”
