Summer fete to have Tour theme
Ben Rhydding Community Fete is having a Tour de France theme.
The ninth annual fete will take place on the former Ilkley Middle School field, off Valley Drive and Wheatley Lane, on Saturday, June 21.
This year, however, coming only a couple of weeks before the Yorkshire Grand Depart of the Tour de France, organisers are referring to it as La Grande Fete – and a prominent feature of the afternoon will be a free Best Decorated Bike competition with prizes for the best three.
