AS the spring bank holiday weekend approaches, staff at attractions all over the Bradford district are preparing for a busy few days.

Bradford Literature Festival will come to a close this weekend and finale events include a day dedicated to the work of Beatrix Potter tomorrow and the magical world of Harry Potter on Sunday.

Bradford Threadfest also returns this weekend, with some of the city’s best underground music being celebrated at venues across Bradford.

Saltaire Arts Trail runs tomorrow, Sunday and Monday, where people can visit open houses to see artists' work and enjoy a makers' fair at Victoria Hall.

Tomorrow, the National Media Museum's half term activities start, with various exhibitions including one about how animation works in film, which will be open free of charge from 10am to 4pm each day.

Bradford Pride is at Bradford Bulls’ Odsal Stadium tomorrow, with live performances from local talent and big name acts.

Ilkley Lido reopens tomorrow for its summer season with a fun day from 10am to 5pm.

Baildon farmers market also comes to the Ian Clough car park on Saturday (9am to 1pm), and the Brew Haus in Little Horton Lane will host a vintage market on Sunday from noon to 8pm alongside its Gin Festival, which runs all weekend at the bar.

Staying in Ilkley, the bandstand in The Grove will host Guiseley Brass Band on Saturday and the Ben Rhydding Clarinets on Sunday. There will also be performances at Lister Park and Roberts Park bandstands at 2pm on Sunday.

East Riddlesden Hall in Keighley is holding a Wild Arts Weekend, tomorrow and Sunday, when visitors can explore the stately home’s gardens and join in craft activities. Admission to the Hall is £6.20 for adults, £3 for children, or £15.40 for a family ticket.

The Fighting Cock in Preston Street, Bradford, will be holding a beer festival over the weekend, from noon to 11pm, Saturday to Monday, with over 25 cask ales and live music at the pub.

Local band Kascarade will perform at the Stein Bierkeller, Little Horton Lane, on Sunday at 7pm. Entry is £3.
