PEOPLE are invited to view early proposals for the redevelopment of the former Spooner Industries Factory in Ilkley.
McCarthy and Stone is inviting feedback from residents on the multi-million pound regeneration project on Mayfield Road which would include retirement living, assisted living accommodation, a care home, office building, a children’s nursery and an extension to the existing Spooner Industries factory.
Regional managing Director for McCarthy & Stone (North East Region) Steve Secker said: "We understand that the character of the area is important to the community, and our team of architects has spent time considering local architecture before designing our initial plans. We are confident that our proposal would provide a sensitively designed development that would enhance the area and meet an identified need for specialist retirement accommodation.
The plans (pictured) can be viewed at a public exhibition today and Wednesday between 3pm and 7pm at Holygarth Social Club, River View, Leeds Road, Ilkley, LS29 8LY.
If you are unable to attend the public exhibition or would like further information, call the Freephone information line on 0800 298 7040 or visit: mccarthyandstone-consultation.co.uk/ilkleymayfieldroad.
