THE Prime Minister and Chancellor visited the Bradford district today as they unveiled their long-term economic plan for Yorkshire.
David Cameron and George Osborne toured an engineering firm in Ilkley as they gave more details about their vision of a 'northern powerhouse' to rival London.
They tried their hands at folding sheet metal, and even posed for 'selfies' with apprentices, on a visit to industrial oven manufacturer Spooner.
In an exclusive interview with the Telegraph & Argus, Mr Cameron said firms in the Bradford district would have an important role to play in the Conservatives' long-term economic plan for Yorkshire.
Asked whether the plan would see investment focused on Leeds, Mr Cameron said: "We don't see the Yorkshire economy simply being about Leeds. It's about the whole of Yorkshire, and the surrounding cities and towns have got a role to play."
