Support for petition on school cash
A PETITION to seek more Government funding for additional secondary school places in Wharfedale was approved by members at last night’s full meeting of Bradford Council.
More than 2,000 people signed the document, which highlighted that schools had already been oversubscribed in the area for the past six years.
It also added that there were plans to build 1,600 new homes in the area by 2030.
Members were asked to reaffirm their commitment to a new secondary school for the Wharfe valley and ring-fence a suitable site.
