Plans have been drawn up to replace ageing buildings at an award-winning Ilkley outdoor activity centre with a 64-bed dormitory block.
Bradford Council’s Education Buildings Team has submitted a planning application for the facilities at Nell Bank.
It is hoped a purpose-built dormitory will increase the centre’s residential capacity and help ongoing efforts to make it self-sustaining.
The centre provides day and residential experiences for schools and community groups.
Centre manager Bruce Fowler said some of the centre’s buildings were used in the Second World War and cost £60.
