Plea made to victims of possible Heckmondwike deceptions

Police have appealed for victims of and witnesses to a suspected distraction burglar to come forward.
A 31-year-old man has been remanded in custody awaiting trial charged with two burglaries and two deceptions in Northstead, Ravensthorpe, on February 26 and 27, St James Street, Heckmondwike, on March 4, and Goose Hill, Heckmondwike, on March 11.
A spokesman said in the crimes reported, elderly or vulnerable victims have been approached by a man offering tobacco and alcohol products for sale. The victims gave him money but never received any products.
