A 70-year-old was seriously injured in a fire at his Heckmondwike house this morning.
The blaze caused serious damage to the living room of the house in Trueman Avenue. The occupant was taken to Pinderfields Hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the blaze, which occurred at around 9.30am, which was tackled by fire crews from Batley, Cleckheaton and Dewsbury.
