A father and his teenage daughter have been killed in a horror crash.
The 37-year-old man from Brighouse and 15-year-old girl from Rastrick, who have not been named, both died at the scene.
They had been travelling towards Brighouse in their silver VW Golf on Birkby Lane, Bailiff Bridge, just after 5pm yesterday went it was in a collision with a brown van travelling in the opposite direction.
A silver Peugeot travelling from Cleckheaton, in the same direction as the Golf, was also involved.
The driver of the van and the 21-year-old driver of the Peugeot were both taken to Dewsbury District Hospital.
The driver of the Peugeot was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and has since been bailed while police enquiries continue.
Police cordoned off Birkby Lane for several hours while emergency services worked at the scene. Firefighters from Brighouse removed the trapped victims from the Golf.
