A mum whose baby son almost died from meningitis when he was seven weeks old has taken part in a charity walk to help find a vaccine for the disease.

Louisa Thornber, 30, of Cowling, near Keighley, was joined by six-month-old Elliott and his brother Kieron, five, for the third leg of Meningitis UK’s Walk of Roses.

The Blackpool to Bridlington route passed through Cowling, where it was joined by Louisa Titorenko, Cheryl Mount, Louisa and Elliott, Debbie Eccles, Kieran, and Claire Kerrigan with Charlie, five months.
