Cowling Post Office is to be closed from Thursday, July 3, following the resignation of the sub-postmaster. There is a chance of retaining the service in the village if new premises can be found, say Post Office bosses. “The present premises will not be available but we are committed to maintaining a service in the village and we are looking to employ someone else. Anyone interested must have a suitable premises,” said a Post Office spokesman. Interested applicants should call 0845 6016260.
