Plans for three new rail stations will be discussed at a meeting on Friday.

Transport chiefs will update the Bradford Passenger Consultative Committee on schemes for Low Moor, Apperley Bridge and Kirkstall Forge.

A report for the committee said preliminary design works on Low Moor station would start this month. It said: “Further development work continues with Network Rail, Northern Rail and Bradford Council on this new station. It is envisaged that the station will be opened in 2012.”

Outline design works for new stations at Apperley Bridge and Kirkstall Forge were approaching completion.

Subject to approval from the Department for Transport, the stations would be in operation by 2012.
