Police in Steeton have warned of an increase in the number of fake £20 notes in circulation.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team has been contacted by individuals and businesses given counterfeit notes in their change.
They suggest people visit the Bank of England website to learn how to check whether a note is genuine.
